Publisher Scholastic has unveiled a new raft of covers for the seven titles, with the black-and-white illustrations cleverly combining to becomes one picture woven together by a snake.

The editions appear to only be for the US, marking 20 years since the first Harry Potter book was published across the pond.

The new versions will be released on June 26, ahead of the publication anniversary on September 1, with the cover art designed by artist Brian Selznick.

“I’m a big Harry Potter fan and it is an incredible honour to illustrate J.K. Rowling’s iconic series,” he said back in January. “I am thrilled to play a part in this exciting 20th anniversary celebration and look forward to meeting Harry Potter fans and readers across the country.”

The new editions of the classic books aren’t the only exciting thing happening in Harry Potter world, with a new mobile game called Hogwarts Mystery being released too.

The game will also go for the authentic approach by using the voice talents of some of the movie series’ biggest stars, including Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) and Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall).
